Terms of Use
This draft has not yet been reviewed by an attorney.
Eligibility and accounts
Provide accurate information, protect your password, and do not access another person's account. By checking the agreement box when creating an account, you accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Community Guidelines; you may not use the service without doing so.
Educational purpose
Studdy Buddies provides supplemental educational material and is not a substitute for a teacher, school curriculum, professional advice, or emergency assistance. Questions, generators, scores, and explanations may contain errors and should be checked when accuracy is important.
Acceptable use
Do not disrupt the service, bypass access controls, scrape private information, impersonate others, upload unlawful content, harass users, spam the forum, or use the website to cheat in violation of school rules.
User content
You retain responsibility for content you post. You grant Studdy Buddies permission to display and process that content as needed to operate and moderate the forum. Do not post private information or material you do not have permission to share.
Moderation and termination
Administrators may edit or remove content, issue warnings, restrict features, suspend accounts, or revoke access to protect users and enforce these Terms and the Community Guidelines.
Availability and changes
The service may change, experience interruptions, or discontinue features. These Terms may be updated, with the effective date shown above.
Dispute resolution and arbitration
This section affects your legal rights, including your right to sue in court and to have a jury trial. Please read it carefully.
Informal resolution first. Before starting an arbitration, email studdybuddiesadmin@gmail.com describing the dispute. We will attempt to resolve it informally for at least 30 days before either party starts arbitration.
Binding individual arbitration. Except for disputes that qualify for small-claims court or involve intellectual property, any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the service that is not resolved informally will be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, before a single arbitrator. Judgment on the arbitrator's award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
No class actions. Disputes must be brought individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated, or representative proceeding, and the arbitrator may not combine more than one person's claims.
Right to opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration and class-action-waiver section by emailing studdybuddiesadmin@gmail.com within 30 days of creating your account, stating that you decline to be bound by it. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms, and does not affect your ability to use the service.
Minors. Contracts formed with individuals under 18 are treated differently under the law in many places, and agreements to arbitrate and waive class actions are not reliably enforceable against a minor. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should review this section with you before you create an account. This section is not intended to, and may not, bind a user who was under 18 at the time of account creation to the arbitration or class-action-waiver provisions above, regardless of the account-creation checkbox.
This section, like the rest of this draft, has not been reviewed by an attorney and should not be relied on as a fully enforceable arbitration agreement until it has been.
